Dr. Charlene Rocha

Who better to make your teeth perfect than the near-perfect Dr. Charlene Rocha? As our in-house orthodontist, Dr. Rocha provides the professional warmth and expertise that is the bedrock of Total Health Dental Care.

Dr. Rocha grew up in Union City before becoming the first in her family to attend college, choosing to do so at UC San Diego. Once on the pre-dental path, nothing could have stopped her from moving forward. After founding the UCSD Hispanic Student Dental Association, Dr. Rocha graduated with the highest GPA in her class. That same year, Dr. Rocha was accepted into UCSF School of Dentistry. After receiving her dental degree, Dr. Rocha studied her orthodontics at the University of the Pacific.

Dr. Rocha began her orthodontic career only a week after graduating in 2014, and she hasn’t stopped since. (“The longer I practice, the more I fall in love with ortho!”) Dr. Rocha also uses her expertise to enrich philanthropy; in one instance, Dr. Rocha traveled to Honduras to provide free dental treatment to the local communities.

Today, Dr. Rocha is known at Total Health to be thorough in taking the time each patient needs to understand their health needs in addition to long- and short-term treatment plans. Her favorite part of the job is building relationships with her patients and coworkers.

Outside of the office, Dr. Rocha is an avid runner, cycler, and hiker – if she’s not bringing her kids along during these activities, she’ll likely be listening to audiobooks or true crime podcasts.
