The sequence is straightforward. You book online or call, and we get you in. At the visit, the dentist examines the tooth and takes imaging to find out exactly what is happening below the gum line. Before anything is treated, you get the full price in writing, including what your insurance covers and what it does not. If the treatment is within scope and the schedule holds, it happens right then, either at that office or at the Rotunda the same day.

What does same-day treatment cost in the East Bay?

We accept every major PPO, including Delta Dental, MetLife, UMR, Guardian, Beam, Cigna, Aetna, Principal, Anthem Blue Cross, and SHIP. We verify your benefits by text before you arrive so your numbers are ready. If your plan is not one we take, your first visit is on us.
If you have no insurance at all, which describes a lot of the small-business owners and self-employed people we treat across the East Bay, our in-house membership plans are the alternative:
- Standard Cleaning Plan, 300 dollars a year. Two professional cleanings with ozone treatment included, plus unlimited exams and X-rays. No deductibles, no copays, no claim forms.
- Loyalty Plan, 600 dollars a year. Everything in the cleaning plan, plus 50 percent off every treatment, including crowns, fillings, extractions, and root canals, and direct access to the in-house specialists. When should you go to the emergency room instead?
Most dental problems belong in a dental chair, not an ER, and a hospital visit for a toothache usually ends with antibiotics, a bill, and a referral back to a dentist. But some situations are genuinely medical emergencies. Go to the emergency room, not to us, if you have:
- Facial trauma or a suspected broken jaw
- Swelling that is spreading toward your eye or down your neck
- Difficulty breathing or swallowing
- Bleeding that will not stop
- A high fever alongside dental pain or swelling

Same-day capacity is real but it is not infinite. The earlier in the day you call, the better your odds of being treated that same afternoon.

Can a root canal really be done in one visit?
In most cases, yes. Modern endodontic technique lets our endodontist clean, shape, and seal the canals in a single appointment. Teeth with unusual anatomy, a severe active infection, or a retreatment of a previous root canal sometimes need a second visit, and Dr. Lavorini will tell you which category yours is in before starting.
Can I get a dental implant in one day?
The surgical placement of the post is frequently a single visit, and in some cases a tooth can be extracted and an implant placed at the same appointment. The permanent crown that goes on top is a separate stage, because the jawbone needs several months to fuse to the implant. Any practice promising a finished implant tooth in a day is describing a temporary, not a final restoration.
